We are currently searching for a Senior Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join a market-leading Agency.  Full-time, permanent position, consisting of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday and a salary of £24,000 - £27,000 per annum.
 The position will entail end to end processing of payroll for 600+ people within a payroll team ensuring that calculations and payments are accurately produced in a timely manner within strict deadlines.
Main Duties include: 
  • Management and completion of end to end weekly Payroll processes across various contracts. Ensuring all overtime, sickness, parental leave and annual leave accrual is recorded and input into the system accurately and on time
  • To ensure that all payments to Temporary workers, staff, HMRC and Pension Providers are processed correctly according to the agreed schedule
  • To produce weekly payslips
  • Process new starts and leavers
  • Respond to and resolve complex payroll related queries in a professional and timely manner
  • To produce payroll reports
  • To process end of year returns accurately and on time
  • To maintain all necessary administration relating to payroll
  • To ensure that payroll is administered in accordance with all legislative requirements
  • Maintaining accurate pensions data for all Temporary Workers including auto-enrollment and opt-out the documentation
  • Assistance with general finance duties within the department as necessary
Essential Criteria 
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above to include English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • Recognised Sage Payroll qualification
  • Sage Computerised Payroll experience
  • High level of competency using Microsoft Excel
  • 3 years relevant experience in a similar role 
  • Ability to manage high volume end to end payroll
  • Previous experience of dealing with pensions and management of autoenrollment
  • Knowledge of manual calculations and Payroll legislation
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data with a high level of attention to detail
  • Resilient with the ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Customer-focused with the ability to be flexible to meet the demands of the role
  • Understanding the need to follow established procedures and working to best practice at all times
  • Ability to use time effectively and show initiative within a team environment
  • A progressive approach, contributing to overall service, through continuous improvement
